‘Preserving Tudor Heights’ senior living community’s deep Kosher roots and Jewish traditions while adding new programs, amenities and services is the focus of Solvere Living, the new operator of the community.
Located at 7218 Park Heights Avenue, Tudor Heights offers 62 assisted living and memory care apartments and has a long Jewish tradition of honoring the dignity and journey of its residents. It provides Shabbat services, Passover respite stays, a range of kosher dining with separate meat and dairy kosher kitchens, a beautiful synagogue and regular spiritual services for all faiths. Amenities include a literature program, live entertainment, art exhibits, gardening, movie theater, pharmacy services and a pet-friendly environment. Other features include enclosed outdoor activity areas and 24-hour emergency call systems in bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.
Solvere is the operations division of St. Petersburg, Florida-based Solutions Advisors Group (SAG) and is introducing new programs to further augment the community’s warm, dignified and interactive atmosphere. Solvere Living currently operates 17 communities in eight states, including Florida, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Maryland, Virginia, Michigan and Oklahoma.
“All of Tudor Heights many wonderful traditions, practices and attributes will of course continue to thrive,” said Kristin Kutac Ward, president and CEO of Solutions Advisors Group. “We look forward to further enhancing both assisted living and memory care experiences for residents.”
Among the new programs being introduced are Solvere Living’s proprietary wellness philosophies Salus™ and Valeo™. Salus, Latin for well-being, is a holistic approach that focuses on each resident’s potential to achieve his or her personal goals through engagement and connection. Valeo, Latin for to thrive, focuses specifically on wellness initiatives for those with memory impairments and incorporates components that examine residents’ social, intellectual, spiritual and physical well-being.
“Our Salus and Valeo programs are designed for successful aging by touching residents’ lives in both assisted living and memory care to keep them feeling engaged, honored and fulfilled,” Ward said.
Solvere will also introduce continuing education programs for families and professionals, outreach wellness programs throughout the local community, as well as a new website.
“We are committed to being a community-at-large resource,” said Tudor Heights general manager Shoshana Winnick. “We want to assist Tudor Heights in the promoting and sharing of its special bond and resources with the area Jewish community and all others as well.”’
